Tasting Room Kef
Tasting Room Kef is a cosy tasting room in Amsterdam Noord, focused on the best French and Dutch cheeses. In our shops we work with many products that have a special origin story. At our tasting room we love to share these stories with our guests and introduce you to the many varieties of cheese and wine that we work with.
Cheese Tasting
During the cheese tasting “Dégustation Intermédiare” we will serve two platters with a total of nine different cheeses, ranging from fresh to intense. We select two matching glasses of wine, beer, or an alcohol-free pairing.
The selection of cheeses is different every day, as we select what is most ripe at that moment. If you prefer to have a selection of only Dutch cheese, this is always possible, but do let us know when booking.
During the tasting we will join you to tell you in detail about the origin, the flavours and the artisans. This way, you learn more about your taste and might discover some new favourites!

Drinks & Lunch
Join us for a glass of wine and an accompanying cheese platter or have lunch with our delicious grilled cheese. We adjust your cheese platter based on what you’re drinking. So, every platter is different and you can endlessly discover new flavours and pairings.
During the summer we have a large outdoor seating area where you can enjoy your drinks in the sun.
We serve lunch until 3pm, but you can order drinks and cheese platters the entire day.
Wines
Our wine list has been crafted with care, in order to pair perfectly with cheese. Some fresh goat cheeses require a nice glass of mineral white, whereas a fragrant washed rind cheese begs for a juicy red, and Comté pairs beautifully with a glass of Macvin from the same region.
What grows together, goes together, which is why you’ll find a majority of French wines at Tasting Room Kef. But of course, we also get excited by many other wines, so sometimes we will experiment with something German or Italian. Besides this we also serve a selection of apple and pear ciders.
We always serve about fifteen different wines and ciders by the glass.
Practical information
It is mandatory to make a reservation for a cheese tasting at least a day in advance, as it requires some preparation.
Walk-ins are possible for lunch or drinks, however our tasting room is cosy and we don’t have many tables. If you want to be sure of a spot, book a table through the Formitable widget on the website.
We are able to make a pregnancy proof cheese platter, but please request this beforehand.
If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know beforehand.
Your reservation has a set time of 2,5 hours. But if there’s enough space, you are more than welcome to stay longer.

It is possible to rent our tasting room for a party, lunch or meeting. We have multiple options, both during and outside of opening hours.
